The Coastal Zone Management Role in Managing Hazards

Coming Soon

This new course will bring together coastal resource managers, emergency managers, floodplain managers, and local planners from a particular region to learn about each other's roles in hazard mitigation planning—and to help them leverage their efforts to foster coastal community resilience.

The course will teach participants how to network effectively and to identify ways in which their roles complement one another. Participants will learn possible mechanisms for coordination and collaboration, legislative drivers of each group, and each group's perspective on community resilience.

Anticipated completion date of the workshop is early 2008.
