Metadata Workshops: Training Materials for Instructors

If you are interested in teaching others about the use of metadata, "Introducing Geospatial Metadata" is a resource guide you will want to have. This comprehensive guide provides all the materials necessary for presenting a two-day workshop on metadata.

The guide is an outgrowth of a workshop sponsored by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC), where experienced metadata instructors developed modules that were incorporated into a standardized metadata curriculum by the Center for Clear Communications, Inc.

If you are already teaching best metadata practices, this curriculum will provide you with additional ideas and resources.

The guide is presented by the NOAA Coastal Services Center, in partnership with the FGDC, and can be downloaded from this site free of charge.
